UST hails as best school in March 2023 physician boards; 2 Thomasians among top 10

The University was hailed as the only top-performing school in the March 2023 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) after registering an 83.61 percent passing rate.

UST alumna Johanna Wileen Go led this month’s batch of new Thomasian doctors as she placed third with a score of 88.25 percent.

Go was followed by Thomasian Isabella Castillo who landed on the fifth spot after obtaining 87.67 percent, tying with University of Cebu’s Anthony Acenas.

This month’s boards saw 51 out of 61 Thomasians making the cut, results showed by the Professional Regulation Commission on Thursday night, March 16.

These numbers were lower compared to the October 2022 physician boards where the University recorded 416 passers out of 460 takers.

The national passing rate for this month’s PLE was at 54.48 percent, where 1,573 out of the 2,887 examinees passed.
