UST secures spots in October 2022 Physician Licensure Exams

Three Thomasians snagged top spots in the October 2022 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), results showed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday, Nov. 10.

Thomasian Kim Sia landed on the fourth spot with 87.67 percent.

Neill Steven Cachuela placed seventh with an 87.42 percent mark and Christian Jerell Cosme posted 87.17 percent, securing the ninth spot.

Compared with the March 2022 PLE, UST’s licensed physicians passing rate increased from 85.71 percent to 90.43 percent.

The University was also named as the seventh top-performing school with 416 passers out of its 460 examinees.

Justin Adriel Zent Togonon of the University of the Philippines — Manila topped the boards with a score of 89.0 percent.

The Angeles University Foundation was hailed as the top-performing school in the October 2022 Physician Licensure Exams after posting a 100 percent passing rate.

There are 3,826 passers out of 5,958 examinees for the October 2022 PLE, according to the PRC.

The physician board examinations were conducted in the cities of NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last Oct. 21, 22, 28 and 29.
