Fresh from a stellar individual season and a fourth-place finish in the UAAP, Eya Laure looks to lead the Tigresses’ charge in the 2022 Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup (AVC).
Laure will be joined by fellow national team holdovers and UST teammates Bernadette Pepito and Imee Hernandez, who are all included in the 23-man roster the Philippine National Volleyball Federation announced Friday afternoon.
Also included in the roster is NU’s rookie MVP in Bella Belen. She will be joined by Lams Lamina, Jennifer Nierva, Ivy Lacsina, and Alyssa Solomon to round up the Lady Bulldogs’ squad.
Joining them are the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball runner-ups in DLSU, headlined by Thea Gagate, Jolina Dela Cruz, Fifi Sharma, Leila Cruz, Mars Alba, and Leiah Malaluan.
Meanwhile, Ateneo is bannered by Season 84 2nd Best Open Hitter Faith Nisperos, followed by middle blocker AC Miner and outside hitter Vanie Gandler.
Rounding up the 23-man lineup is Adamson’s Trisha Genesis and Louie Romero, UP’s Alyssa Bertolano, and California Precision Sports standouts Jelaica Gallero and Casiey Dongallo.
The Philippines is slotted in Pool A with China, South Korea, Iran, and Vietnam, while Pool B is composed of Japan, Thailand, Kazahkstan, Chinese Taipei, and Australia.
The AVC Cup is set to kick off from August 21 to 28.
