UST Tiger TV to host UAAP Season 85 kick-off party

UST Tiger Media Network’s official broadcast network, Tiger TV, will hold the in-person UAAP Season 85 Kickoff Party on Wednesday, Sept. 28
This year’s send-off by the University to its athletes, entitled “Tiger Resurgence: UAAP Kickoff Party 2022,” will be streamed live on UST Tiger TV’s official Facebook page in collaboration with the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA).
Thomasians who are at the University on Wednesday are welcome to join the celebration, IPEA’s Athletic Moderator Mr. Rodrigo Sambuang said.
Tiger rookies for the upcoming season will be introduced in the pre-event stream on the same day at 12:30 PM.
The yearly Kickoff Party celebrates the University’s history, achievements, and figures in sports as a pre-event for the UAAP.
The event proper will start at 1:00 pm; it will include the following segments:
- UST Salinggawi Dance and UST Sinag Ballroom Dance Troupe’s Opening Number.
- “Tomasino Name It” and “Pera o Bota”, Thomasian fair games that launched during the Onboarding Week of the University which shall be played by some of the Thomasian athletes.
- Team Performances prepared by UST Sports Teams.
- UST’s official UAAP Campaign for Season 85 titled, “Ready to Roar.”
- Teaser video of UST Tiger TV’s premiere sports show, “The Frontrunners.”
A Thomasian basketball alumni game will take place at the Quadricentennial Pavilion from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM to cap off the program.
UST Tiger TV produced the Sports Campaign and Kickoff Party “Tiger Takeover” in 2019, and the first virtual kickoff party in February called “Tiger Unleashed.”
