Ended the season with two more titles under the University’s belt.
Returning to UAAP play after two years, UST Galvanize and UST Prime dominated their respective juniors and seniors divisions of the UAAP Season 85 streetdance competition, held on Saturday afternoon, May 27, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Galvanize kept their run perfect since the inauguration of the juniors division back in 2015, while UST Prime bagged their first gold in the competition.
Galvanize accumulated 437.5 points, a runaway from their opponents with Adamson University Dance Company’s 393.5 and FEU-X’s 376 outputs.
Prime, on the other hand, snatched their first-ever title with a score of 448, just a two-point margin from the runner-up National University Dance Company’s 446 markers.
The streetdance competition was part of the closing ceremony of the UAAP Season 85, where the general champions, Athletes of the Year, Athlete-Scholar awardees, and SEA Games representatives were honored.
The streetdance competition was not included in the overall computation for the UAAP General Championship.
