UST remains top-performing school in elementary LET, improves to 2nd in high school

The University of Santo Tomas is still the top-performing school in the September 2017 licensure examinations for teachers (LET) in the elementary level while it boosted its performance in the high school level.

With 106 passers out of 113 examinees in the elementary level, UST posted a 93.81-percent mark — a slight decline from last year’s 97.79 percent.

Meanwhile, from last year’s fourth place, the University emerged as the second top-performing school in the secondary level this year.

UST garnered a 94.74-percent passing rate, an improvement from last year’s 87.29-percent, with 162 out of 171 Thomasians making the cut.

However, no Thomasian landed in the top 10 in both levels.

University of the Philippines — Los Baños topped the LET in the secondary level with a 98.33-percent passing rate.

Mary Clarence Madero of West Visayas State University — La Paz leads this year’s batch of elementary teachers with an 88.80-percent score, while Rhoy Omega of University of Mindanao — Davao City is the topnotcher in the secondary level with a mark of 93.80 percent.
