The University achieves a perfect passing rate in the September 2021 Physician Licensure Exam with all nine Thomasians making the cut.

Carl Jay Enad Jainar of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery placed fifth among the top 10 examinees with a score of 87 percent.

Maria Inez Benedicto of West Visayas State University — La Paz and Jude Philip Cebrecus of Cebu Institute of Medicine topped this year’s exams with both receiving a rating of 87.83 percent.

Cebu Institute of Medicine emerged as the top performing this year with a passing rate of 98.68 percent.

The University’s passing rate improved from the March 2021 PLE, previously at 88.33 percent.

Thomasian PLE takers plunged from 60 examinees in the March 2021 PLE to nine for the September 2021 PLE due to the postponement of the test in Metro Manila following the spike in Delta cases.

The Professional Regulation Commission posted that 1,084 out of 1,546 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, and Zamboanga on September 2021.
