UST boosts performance in November 2017 chemical engineering boards

The University recorded a higher passing rate in the November 2017 licensure exam for chemical engineers, with one Thomasian landing in the top ten highest scorers.
UST was named the third top performing school in the board exam after garnering a passing rate of 80.17 percent, in which 97 out of 121 examinees passed the exam. This was higher than last year’s 66.14 percent or 84 out of 127 passed.
John Rave Magalang was the lone Thomasian in the roster of ten highest scorers. He bagged the third spot with a score of 83.70 percent.
University of the Philippines-Diliman remained as the top performing school after garnering a 98.77 percent passing rate.
Meanwhile, John Cyril Claur of the University of Saint La Salle and Jared Philip Condez of the University of the Philippines-Visayas both shared the top spot with a score of 84.60 percent.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 627 out of 942 examinees nationwide passed the board exam.
