Tunog Tomasino 2022 brings Thomasian-Paskuhan bands
After bagging top spots in Tunog Tomasino 2022: Stellaris Bound, three Thomasian bands are expected to perform in the upcoming Paskuhan Concert next week, as announced by TOMCAT-UST on Friday, Dec 9.
Sean Archer, LUCY, and Illumina were the top three bands at Tunog Tomasino and will play on the Paskuhan stage on Dec. 19.
During the competition, Sean Archer performed their cover of Prinsesa by 6Cyclemind and their own song, Puyat. LUCY covered Tayo nalang Dalawa by Mayonnaise and presented Too Red while Illumina from the Faculty of Engineering sang Mais and covered Jopay.
For this year’s Tunog Tomasino, six Thomasian bands competed in the Battle of the Bands showcasing their original compositions and covers.
The winners were determined based on the following criteria: quality of performance (40 percent), originality (30 percent), and technicalities (10 percent), with audience impact (20 percent) being a big factor based on the Tiger Media Network Twitter Post Engagement and Tiger Media Network Unique Listeners through Tiger Radio Mixir. — Patricia Lumenario
