Thomasians grab top spots in April 2023 pharmacy boards

Three Thomasians secured top ranks in the April 2023 Pharmacist Licensure Examinations (PhLE), results showed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday, April 14.

UST alumna Laisa Marian De Guzman led the new batch of Thomasian pharmacists after landing on the third spot with 93.20 percent.

She was followed by Thomasians Prinz Noel Angelo Archangel who ranked fifth with 93.05 percent, and Meann Claire Mendoza who secured the ninth spot with a score of 92.78 percent.

Compared to UST’s 306 examinees last November 2022 PhLE, this April’s boards saw only 68 Thomasian examinees where 56 of them passed.

With a passing rate of 82.35 percent, the University was recognized as the fifth top-performing school for the April 2022 PhLE.

Lyndale Gallardo of Cebu Doctors University placed first in the said board exams after garnering a 93.55 percent rate.

Saint Louis University remained as the top-performing school in the PhLE with an average of 97.14 percent.

There are 1,420 passers among the 2,275 examinees in the pharmacy boards.

The examinations were conducted in the cities of Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last April 10 and 11.
