Thomasian snags top spot in October 2022 electronic technician exam

A Thomasian topped the October 2022 licensure examination for electronic technicians, while the University placed as the second top-performing school in the same category.
UST alumnus Jude Nico Zabala clinched the first spot with a 90 percent mark.
He was joined in the top 10 by Thomasians Jon Carlos Hipolito Liwag and Juan Carlos Ramos Latonio who secured the second and third positions, garnering scores of 88 percent and 87 percent, respectively.
Along with Zabala on the electronics technician boards were Cris Ramil Lequigan Calzita.

The University’s passing rate dwindled to 92.94 percent or 79 out of 85 examinees in the electronic technician boards, from April 2022’s 100 percent among 31 takers
Meanwhile, the University scored 58.76 percent or 63 out of 110 examinees in the October 2022 licensure examination for electronic engineers. UST posted a 55 percent passing rate or 22 out of 40 examinees in the April 2022 electronics engineering board exams.
The University of the Philippines — Diliman was hailed as the top-performing school in the October 2022 electronics engineering boards with an 88.64 percent passing rate or 39 out of 44 examinees.
The licensure exam for electronic engineers was conducted on October 8–9, 2022, while the licensure exam for electronic technicians was held on October 10, 2022, at testing centers across Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
