THE-ICE global student satisfaction index names CTHM as ‘top school’

UST College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) ranked first in the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) i-graduate Student Satisfaction Global Index 2022.

CTHM clinched the highest spot in the student satisfaction index in select fields among 200 tourism and hospitality schools. The college led in the following areas: pre-arrival info, social orientation, study sense, introduction to support services, cost of accommodation, financial support, social activities (organized events), and student unions.

The said student satisfaction survey is a tertiary benchmarking and development program which tracks and measures decision-making, expectations, perceptions, and intentions of international and domestic THE students from application to graduation.

The award was received by CTHM Dean Gezzez Giezi G. Granado, during the International Panel of Experts Forum hosted by THE-ICE held in Dubai last Nov. 7 to 9.

THE-ICE is an organization that provides accreditation, benchmarking, and quality enhancement in the fields of tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary arts education. UST has been one of its recognized members since 2016.

In 2021, two Thomasians were also recognized after being a part of the winning teams in THE-ICE Global Revenue Management (GRM) Challenge.

As of writing, the said organization has a network of 44 members from 19 nations on four different continents.
