Lady Spikers, Tiger Sands finish S85 with golden double

Kings and Queens of the Sand. Not one game dropped.
The UST Tiger Sands and Lady Spikers emerged with the crown in the UAAP Season 85 collegiate beach volleyball knockout finals, Tuesday morning, at the SM Sands by the bay.
Both teams were up against the National University. For the Men’s, it is a rematch of the Season 84 Finals.
Tiger Sands S81 Rookie of the Year Jaron Requinton and former MVP Rancel Varga showed their mastery of the Bulldogs in their most important match of the season in straight sets, 21–16, 21–14.
The same feat was achieved by the Lady Spikers as the duo of Gen Eslapor and Season 81 ROTY, Season 82 MVP Babylove Barlon pulled off yet another sweep of National U, 21–15, 21–16.
The Tiger Sands achieved a four-peat while the Lady Spikers nabbed a five-peat.
After the championship games, Season 81 rookies of the year Requinton and Barlon were crowned as the MVPs for their respective divisions.
