Former academic affairs chief appointed as CHED’s institutional assessor
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has appointed a former vice rector for academic affairs as one of the new institutional sustainability assessors for the National Capital Region (NCR).
Prof. Clarita Carillo of the UST Department of Teacher Education was one of the 69 appointed assessors in NCR for the Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) of CHED.
The ISA program aims to help higher education institutions to develop their quality assurance systems for an effective and efficient teaching performance.
Carillo will serve as an assessor until 2019.
She is also an assessor for the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance Group.
Carillo served as the University’s vice rector for academic affairs from 2006 until August this year. — G.P.
