The University’s accounting program was granted an exemption accreditation by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) on Thursday, Nov. 16.

BS Accountancy graduates can receive exemption to at least four of the nine assessment papers that will help them get a full certification from the ACCA.

According to the ACCA website, the certification covers nine areas of the study and it is divided into two modules: Fundamentals and Professional.

The students and alumnae are also entitled to discounts which can be availed upon registration.

Last year, the BS Accountancy program of UST was also granted level III accreditation, the second-highest accreditation, from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation. — G. Parlade
