Four more bachelor’s degree programs at the University received the seal of approval from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), in an announcement posted by the University on Friday, October 28.

The degree programs BA Communication, BA Journalism, BS Hospitality Management, and BS Tourism Management are currently listed among the certified programs of AUN-QA, following the remote visit conducted in July 2022.

AUN-QA assessment examined how UST administered the program in connection to the University’s and program’s vision, mission, goals, objectives, and outcomes. As well as how these are accomplished through the manpower and material resources provided by the university.

As of writing, eighteen of UST’s bachelor’s programs now hold the AUN-QA’s seal of approval.

The first fourteen programs included are BS Accountancy, BS Biochemistry, BS Biology, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Chemistry, Bachelor of Elementary Education, BS Electronics Engineering, BS Medical Technology, BS Nursing, BS Occupational Therapy, BS Physical Therapy, BS Psychology, BS Pharmacy, and Bachelor of Secondary Education.

In 2016, UST became an associate member of the AUN-QA as stated in a letter to the former rector, Very Rev. Fr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, O.P.

The University then vowed to join in AUN-QA projects and programs to create collaborative initiatives with other partner organizations that ensure the improvement of the quality of education at higher education institutions.
