The Faculty of Arts and Letters’ Commission on Elections (AB COMELEC) amended the retraction of the Artlets’ Student Council (ABSC) President Denzelle Jude Caro’s proclamation, hours after declaring him president.

Despite garnering more unanswered votes, AB COMELEC initially proclaimed Caro as the ABSC President for AY 2021–2022.

In the now-deleted post of Resolution No. 10 Series of 2021–2022, Caro and students of the Faculty of Arts and Letters expressed their confusion towards the announcement, as most of them assumed that leaving the ballot unanswered meant abstaining.

After going into a discussion with the Faculty of Arts and Letters’ Board of Majors regarding the mishap, AB COMELEC amended the retraction of Caro’s proclamation as seen in Resolution No. 11 Series of 2021–2022.

Frances Leisa Buensuceso garnered 807 answered votes out of 1,065 overall votes, making her the ABSC’s Auditor for AY 2021–2022.

ABSC Vice President — Internal Julliana Flores remains as acting President.
